@Hayoth
I am a total noob, I started 3 months ago and it's all because of Arduino and the growing need to output more professional looking projects at work, using tupperware is fun but it gets really boring after a while ehehhe
My 3D printer is a German Reprap NEO, it's around €550, It's a beautiful printer, solid build but I knew absolutely nothing about 3D printing when I bought it and to be honest, the learning curve was really fuckn hard on this beast.
software: I mainly use 123D design, it's super easy to learn and in a week you can literally start printing anything you want, http://www.123dapp.com/design , I would not recommend C4D because I noticed that I always have to repair my models
So far this is the process I have found that gives me the best results,
123D Design for my models, then netfab to check if there are any mistakes and repair them http://www.netfabb.de/downloadce…,
then I use a slicer to prepare the files for my printer,
slic3r + host repetier: http://slic3r.org/ -- http://www.repetier.com/download…then you start praying :)
btw the 3D printing crowd is super helpful, here are the forums I frequent,
