Just reading all this, having watched the movie last night.

One thing that I liked about Ep. 7 was how they treated the non-human creatures more humanely. BB-8 got talked to like he had feelings and stuff. Finn gets called out for talking shit about Chewbacca. Altogether it seemed to recognize the sentience in the robots and other non-human creatures.

I wanted to see another clone of Finn take off his helmet and have a clone fight though. Just to underline the fact that all those storm troopers look like him.

    • They do not all look like one person anymore. He states that they took him from his home.Knuckleberry
    • Troopers in eps IV onwards are conscripts or volunteers - clones became unsustainable and eventually a threat - a different clone war than the film(s).face_melter
    • If I remember correctly, accelerated cloning made them buck-wild and they rampaged across the galaxy.face_melter
    • None of that is canon anymore though, right?ETM
    • right. everything is up for grabsjaylarson
    • Yup, all the Extended Universe stuff was given the boot by Disney. Shame, as the Thrawn books are decent and fill in missing story re: clones etc.face_melter
