I'm kiiind of indifferent on this topic and from my 1000ft view there's one issue I see with this debate and what makes it the futile, draining, bitter argument it's been here (and elsewhere):

those who oppose guns do so because of the inherent danger and the needless death of innocent lives caused by them. it's a valid point that nobody can refute, for sure, and since no valid opposing argument will ever outweigh a human life, it's the end of discussion for them.

I'm not saying don't discuss or debate the issue but I can't see a mutually agreeable end to it, so there may be some undue stress or ulcers from these heated discussions. same goes for religion, among other sensitive topics people like to rant on about.

agree to disagree and move on? anyway, just my two cents.

    • Absolutism. It's on the rise. Pathological inability to question one's own beliefs, or consider that somebody holding the opposite view may not be wrong.Fax_Benson

    • and the thinking that it is all "me" and everything with just "work out" w/o any rules or regulations. America has gotten horribly selfish.formed
