    I don't really get the focus on thinness and lightness at all cost. Why is it so necessary to make it much lighter than previous model, but at the same time acceptable to have a machine with specs from four years ago?

    • For me, I commute a lot so I need something light.pinkfloyd
    • coolness, why else? Thin is in.formed
    • aka, market demand... the public kinda wants thinner and lighter tech, it's a sign of progress even if mostly psychologicalmonospaced
    • Compare it to an iPad and it's amazing. Lots of people who write for a living use an iPad + keyboard. Why not make those people a laptop.nb
