Not the right laptop for intensive work, but a really good one for portability.
- yea truedocpoz
- It's an iPad with a keyboardformed
- Just as toilet paper; good for asswipes, not good for writing a novel. I'm sure the MacBook wipes a lot of asses.mekk
- all laptops are good for portability, that's why they have their own category. "Laptops"Miguex

if you buy it, max out ram and hard drive.

I'm reluctant to buy a MacBook without Magsafe.
What were they thinking?
- then buy the macbook with magsafemonospaced
- I have MacBooks with Magsafe. When Apple removes a feature, it often means they'll eventually remove it from all other models. Worrying direction, this.raf
- good point... thank goodness there are hoards of kickstarters for those usb-c hubs on the supercheap, we're gonna need them!monospaced

- only you mono, will think it's a good solution to remove something essential then buy it back because it's essential and not included anymore, lolgeorgesIII
- Did I say it was a good solution? I didn't, I actually think it was a bad one and said so in another thread. Please.monospaced
- they'll put it back in the next one and you'll all believe they re-invented it. The 2nd MB air, they removed the backlit keyboard. 3rd had it, crowd went nuts.mekk

I'm waiting for a gold MB Pro, because gold.
- dat goldpinkfloyd
- I've always liked the weird versions of computers they've tried over the years. I saw someone using one of black macbooks recently and it looked great.nb
- I saw someone whip out the old thick first black macbooks like a brick. I never forgot.pinkfloyd
- Oh yeah, I meant this one: http://www.focushack…nb
- Yeah, I was assuming that one. My note just brought back memories of the different iterations of the macbooks. That's a good looking one.pinkfloyd
- got one in perfect condition, maxed out, thinkin of selling to an aficionadoBrokenHD
- I used to have the white Macbook like that. Worked like a charm and still works today. However, I wish I had gotten a black one.Jaline
- I personally like the white one's a lotpinkfloyd

I wanted a portable retina display but I need a 15" display at the least.
- iCanHazQBN0
This would be perfect:
• 15"
• As slim as this new Macbook
• Retina
• Magsafe
• At least as powerful as the most powerful MB Air- Of course apple won't make one because they want to max out their profits and the fanbois sufferpinkfloyd
- If not magsafe, then at least 3 of those tiny USB-C portsmonospaced
- isn't this the current mbp?fourth
- current mbp isn't close to being as light as the airspinkfloyd
- I also want a computer that hasn't been invented yet.nb
- They could easily make a razor-thin 15" laptop. The larger footprint allows for the inner components to be spread out wider, allowing for more power/memory.iCanHazQBN
- I just think both MB Pros are HEAVY. I'm in the market for a new laptop and I don't want to buy one of those. Hoping for an Air update this summer.iCanHazQBN
- The 13" Pro weights 0.5kg more than the new 12" MB. How weak are you??!?! ;)nb
- Very, very weak. No actually, I travel a lot. I like very light objects.iCanHazQBN
- And .5kg (1.1 lbs) relative to laptop weight is actually pretty significant.iCanHazQBN
- What the...the Macbook Pro is extremely light compared to other computers!Jaline

Thinking on it. I'll sell it in 2 1/2 years anyway, it's time for an upgrade.
- horton0
every reincarnation of magsafe was flawed and expensive to replace, will be happy to see it go.
- You won't be happy to see your weightless laptop falling off your desk.iCanHazQBN
- never had an issue or looked at the magsafe feature as 'flawed'... always been glad I had it... it's saved my mb more than oncePonyBoy
- pinkfloyd0
Can you design websites on a 15"? The 13" was a bit tight.
- d0mino0
Not so sure about Gold. Too flashy. I prefer black laptops for Melbourne winters.
- inteliboy0
Gotta say, max the fuck out of the HD. I really regret having only a 250gb flash on my mbp. I'm constantly managing data.
- pinkfloyd0
A 12" model makes more sense for college students, not designers.
- doctype0
Yes. I'm getting one for my wife and I'm taking her MacBook Pro 15"
- pinkfloyd0
The only way this macbook would work for me is if I had an external monitor to plug it into when I get home. That might actually be a cool setup.
- An adapter would be $79 though!pinkfloyd
- or less than 1/3 that price through any of the hundreds of companies that make them alreadymonospaced
- That's my setup. Works great. Earlier iMacs have a MiniDisplay port that work with Thunderbolt. Cable cost £8.monoboy

This is a joke, right?
