I don't get why people are bitching about experimental products not being fully implemented. At least companies are taking chances.

Apple's got its business model - wait until someone else innovates, then swoop in and steal it, make it better/more refined and convince everyone it was their brilliance. it's a good, if boring/predictable/safe, business model.

Google and others are experimenting and learning. Just a different business model. One isn't necessarily better/worse than another, just different.

Does anyone see very futuristic car at a show come into fruition? Of course not, but they lead things, get feedback and it is a necessary part of innovation.

    • I know where you're coming from, but Apple did dedicate many years of R&D to their products.monospaced
    • The ideas weren't always original, but the development was, and so was the execution in most cases.monospaced
    • It's just different. I don't know which is better, and no one will, for quite sometime.formed
    • What nonsense about Apple, considering the amount of acquisitions Google gobbles up.inteliboy
