    I was having similar issues -- mine was more the network would drop out intermittently. essentially, you want to delete the current wifi service and create a new one.

    in Network Preferences, first select the WiFi service from the list, click the cog at the bottom and "make network inactive" then "apply"

    Then delete that WiFi service from the list by selecting it then clicking the minus (-) button, and hit "apply". now reboot.

    Back to same Network Preferences, click the plus (+) button and create a NEW wifi service through the interface drop-down (name it Wifi2 or something a bit different from last time. you'll then need to sign on to your network again.

    this worked for me.
