its quite ridiculous how much more battery chrome seems to use compared to safari on a macbook.
I check the energy imapct (in activity monitor) with the same tabs open in each browser and chrome is doing 160 and safari is doing 30.
Shame as I much prefer chromes dev tools, and chrome generally.
Anyone else find this? Obviously apple have done some cool wizardry to make safaris performance friendly for battery use.
Any i know chrome splits each tab into a separate process which im sure doesnt help.

- safari is probably using stuff that's already running on osx, while chrome has to run everything by itself?uan
- I dunno... using Chrome on the Windows partition is also pretty inefficient compared to Safarimonospaced
