Most web hosting costs less than 1 hour of programmer time per month.... if you have any problems with the web host, it's usually much more than 1 hour of programmer time wasted, and web host issues tend to happen right before an important demonstration,etc...
Are you running Wordpress? a custom PHP codebase? some CMS? Rails? Django? plain flat HTML?
Do you like to tweek server stuff yourself? do you want it to "just work?" do you want to have a person no call to help you fix things?
Do you anticipate a HUGE volume of simultaneous users? Have you worked with a CDN before?
