no, all the good places are expensive, because there aren't many of them and everyone wants to live there.
There are hundreds of cities where you could get a 1 or 2 br for 100k, but not be able to walk anywhere. But with a $500 mortgage every month you can drive wherever you like. At the end of the day, you spend most of your time either at the computer or at work, so don't bust yourself trying to get the middle bit perfect.
Everything's overrated, settle for shit stuff in a shit place and you'll be happier than all those other people rushing round with the 'good stuff', which changes every 5 minutes.
I think I'm officially old.
