Current Apple keyboard is great. I've had mine for years, works as new. I know Windows guys who will never buy a Mac but only use Apple keyboards with their PCs.
The only thing I could complain about is the built-in USB hub — it is outdated, but it's good enough for Wacom or any simple device that doesn't require full power.
If a damp cloth doesn't clean the grease and germs from your fat fingers off the keyboard, use the thing you should be using to clean your computery stuff anyway: 50% isopropyl alcohol. No need to dry-wipe, it evaporates right away.
