I refused to participate in it until recently and I was quickly proven wrong.
I've both connected with clients and started looking for people to hire on there.
Not the best site, but it seems to be getting better.
I do wish they were more clear on how you can request 'connections', seems to be totally random who requires emails and who doesn't (long time client requires email, random people across teh world doesn't)
