Been thinking about buying some canvases recently and getting into painting as a way to vent creativity instead of sitting in front of a computer screen designing or making music.
My painting skills are not that great, it was design & multimedia I specialised in at Art College but when I see utter SHITE like the work of David Ostrowski it fills me with a happy feeling knowing that I can do much much better.
Whether i'd be able to sell my work is another thing though. Perhaps i'd have to fill myself with the pure bullshit that artists like this use to justify their work or inspiration, get to know some people with galleries and persuade them to sell my stuff then once you command one ridiculous price for one painting, that then sets "the cost of your work".
It's not the skills or what you know, it's pure bullshit and who you know.- "b-b-but muh realism"animatedgif
