Prophetone,
Are you going to get it soon? I'd really love to know what process you go through to upgrade, especially since this sounds like a full new version. As I said above, I cringe more on this upgrade process than any other software. In particular, I'm curious what the "optional content" is - maybe it's jam pack files like came with Logic 8?
I feel like the logic 9 upgrade leveraged sound files from 8. There weren't as many disks for the 9 upgrade as the full 8. So with X being a digital download, really unsure what makes sense to fully remove or install.
I guess the short of is this: will you fully remove 9 to install X, or install X over it? Thanks!
- 9 provided most all the same sound files as 8, but they were smaller because they weren't losslessly compressed.evilpeacock
- i'm a bad example. my most recent logic purchase was in the 90's with 5.5! i have pro tools 8. this would be a fresh install.prophetone
- but i'm prob biting the bullet tonight after i read some more reviews and forums to see if it's sweet or bugaliciousprophetone
- i know logic 9 had it's issues and major delays to fix them from the apple. hopefully this is better.prophetone
