@OSFA / A few years ago I was relocated from the west to east coast and was given a relocation bonus of $15,000. This allowed me to ship over the big things (some small furniture and boxes), pay for airfare, and cover my first/last month's rent, security deposit and/or broker fees. The catch was that if I left the company within the first 6 months, I'd owe it all back, if I left within a year I'd owe 1/2 back, and within 18 months something like 1/4 back. I'd say this is reasonable. The only bitch was that after taxes, it was actually $10,000 and not enough.
