    @Horp
    I'm watching this all go down from sunny California, hoping my apartment is okay (I left he window open 2 inches) and that my building isn't flooded (it borders an evacuation zone), and that my friends aren't too affected by the loss of utilities and local damage, but I can't BELIEVE how dramatic the news stations are making this. One of them is serious while the other is fanatical. It's upsetting when seriously, all people want is the simple plain truth, not an an interview with a housewife freaking out about how to deal with kids who can't go trick-or-treating.

    • American "news" is all sensationalism and outrage and shock, all the time.i_monk
    • i_monk I hear ya, but that's not true of all our media.monospaced
    • I'm in Great Britain. Its not just America. Its not exactly overly-dramatic here, more like a ...Horp

    • Sort of makes it seem like a big fucking deal and simultaneously a load of bullshit in the same report.Horp
