" We are ordering a mandatory evacuation of residents in Zone A beginning immediately. MAP: on.nyc.gov/SqF3uu "
Fuck you, Sandy.
A mandatory evacuation of the Barrier Island; which is the Rt35 Corridor, has been issued. All residents MUST evacuate by 12 noon on Sunday October 28th.
Additionally, beginning at 11pm Sunday Night, all vehicular traffic within the township shall be limited to essential personnel and emergency vehicle traffic only. This order shall remain in effect until the state of emergency has been rescinded.
The Office of Emergency Management strongly encourages those residents that live in areas prone to flooding and along the bay and tidal areas to relocate until it is safe to return.
