This is a very contentious issue that appears in our studio quite a lot. Photographers for instance have done very well in the way that they have set out quite clear rules around usage and copyright of their imagery.
The design industry still lacks solid rules such as these that are accepted as 'industry standard', and enforced across the board so to speak...
