  Check out the short north / Clintonville / grandview.
  @rainmain mentioned some of foodie staples here in town.
  But there are many more if you check out Experience Columbus website they have some great stuff listed.

  Some other good places in short north :
  Hubbard Grill / Rossi / Haiku / Lemongrass

  If you have time checkout the photography exhibit at the museum of art downtown. And the Wexner center up near campus always has interesting exhibits.
