Congrats! Nice idea!
But I also agree with albums and others that its very surprising that you didn't do the standard cross browser checks, particularly given your experience and the position applied for. You got the job so its not a problem, just learn from it and enjoy your new job! :)
And the people who call album negative for pointing this out are ridiculous. If you apply for a web job and your site doesn't work, I think it's fair enough to point it out.
