It's not true to say there are no witnesses. There are several witnesses but they only have accounts of what they heard. However, they have an affidavit from Trayvon's friend/girlfriend he was on the phone with as Zimmerman was following him.

“He said this man was watching him. So he put his hoodie on, said he lost the man.”She went on to say:
“I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast, I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.”She said the man caught up with Trayvon and said:
“Trayvon said, ‘What are you following me for?’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here?’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing and somebody pushed Trayvon, because the headset just fell.”
---Add to it that the 911 dispatcher asked Zimmerman not to follow, and not to leave his vehicle. I don't get how he is not being charged.
