It's really unfortunate that there were no witnesses and no record of what actually happened. Just one man's story and a dead boy. To confidently cry "racism" is hard to accept in the light of little to no evidence. For all we know Trayvon said something derogatory and instigated the whole scuffle. I'm never, ever advocating the result of what happened, and I'm not saying Zimmerman was right in any way, I'm just saying that the whole story will probably never be revealed.

    • I agree. I think the race issue is real but without knowing the full story we're all just guessing.Glitterati_Duane
    • But take away racism and there was still a messed up scenario. A small unarmed kid was shot but a larger grown man.Glitterati_Duane
    • I can't think of anything an unarmed kid could say to make me want to shoot themGlitterati_Duane
    • Have you been watching the news? They're are partial witness accounts.ETM
    • absolutely nothing justifies the shooting.colin_s
    • @colin, you might never know. Once again, I'm not trying to justify it, just saying that we can't know.monospaced
