no doubt that this could be very expensive... that being said, if you changed the materials to something that could be laser cut (along with laminating?), and you did the wiring yourself (it's pretty easy as long as it's not for outdoor use), you could get this done for not too much. i did a similar sign (4 letters) for around $150. granted, i did all the work, and would obviously cost way more to outsource all that stuff. i've also made smaller sized signs for pretty cheap through sites like http://www.ponoko.com/ ... might be worth looking into.
