when i strictly use the center focus point it creates a small section of sharpness. especially in wide open apertures. this is something i am struggling with right now.

in this photo (24-105mm f/4) both eyes are in focus, but if i bust out my 50mm f/1.8, then any sudden angle in the girls face causes one eye to go out of focus.

    • at this distance with a 50mm f/2.8 gives you mere centimeters of acceptable focus.epigraph
    • this is a great pic btw

    • i do find 50 1.8 has some focus issue. it's focus is spot on if you do weight up frame but anything further i find it not as accurate.pango

    • that just shallow depth of field. Bump the aperture on the 50mm 1.8 up to 2.8 / 4 and you'll get both eyes in focus.Hombre_Lobo
