I own the 5DII and 7D and a bunch of L lenses. Canon focus sucks my left testicle, and all my Nikon friends with D3's and D700's seem to be happy as pigs in shit.
When the focus is good, 5DII image quality is f'in superb up to ISO 3200

- just got the 24-70, 35L, 50 1.4 and 70-200 2.8. currently. Would love to toss the 24-70 into the trash bin but gotta keep it as a backup =)epigraph

- I like some portraiture and landscape but I really enjoy just walking aroundHijoDMaite
- FWIW I use he 24-70 as an f/4 lens cause I can never get sharp focus at 2.8. Othe rphotogs I know do the same.

- sounds like you got a dud 24-70.. the one i have is razor sharp down to 2.8.. almost to a faultautoflavour
- Every 24-70L I've ever used worked great, except for the focus. But that's not the glass, it's the body.antagonista
