The guy at the camera store said I should not shoot the last shot on the roll because that would start an automatic full rewind. He said to at that point manually rewind (there's a button for that!), but to stop before it goes all the way in. I guess it's tricky?

Please, advice on rewind before I go out and fuck this all up.

    • don't worry, you can get it back even if it rewinds. there was a link to a diy retriever.johnny_wobble
    • no way I'm spending more money. New batteries, film, and lens already set me back well over $100.monospaced

    • I was worried about this too, but should be able to hear the film release from the take-up spindle.tymeframe
    • Mine let off a loud click, plus the pressure dropped from the winder.tymeframe
    • when you were pulling the film out using the tape method?monospaced
    • No no, when I was using the manual winder in the camera to wind the film back into the roll.tymeframe
