    Definitely don't do what you said you're going to do unless you're actually 'trying' to burn bridges and screw this company over. Especially since you're talking about freelancing. Everyone knows someone. Not having a contract doesn't really mean anything here. This is your rep we're talking about. Give them some kind of decent notice like 2 weeks at the very least and find your replacement. If you don't find a replacement, give them a month notice. I know I'd be pissed if a worker of mine just left like that.
