Yes, exactly. Im not talking about Batman, Im talking about the style of the films. They arent traditional comic book style movies, and even their writer doesnt seem them as comic book movies. That's not what they were trying to create, which is why they are so different than the others out there.

If you've seen the movie Heat, Dark Knight was very similar to that movie, and Heat had a big influence on Nolan when making TDK. Well the fact that Batman is in it doesnt really make it a comic book movie. Yes the stories are losely based on the Jeph Loeb stuff, but watching them, they dont come off like comic book movies at all.

Hell, these movies are so realistic that they cant even incorporate anything supernatural in them, like Killer Croc. That right there tells you they are only very loosely based on comics.

A lot of people who arent comic book fans loves that about these movies. Others like myself who also love comics are ok with a different take on it. I kind of think after these are done, Warner might try to go back to that, or at least try to create some sort of hybrid realistic/comic book style movie.
