  I can understand reason being more complicated for those who never used hardware before, but if you have used at least a drum machine and a mixer, Reason makes an excellent transition from Hard to software, everything works like the real thing, even the wiring between devices on the back.

  Fruity loops is simple enough as well, people are quick to categorize it as a toy, but lots of famous producers making BANK use it all the time, so it's never about the software, these days you can make entire tracks on an ipad while you are taking a shit, the only thing it matters is if it works for you and the final result
