Update: I've been messing with Ableton live lite for two days now. Watching a lot of tutorials and so on. I can't believe there was not a 909 drum machine pre-installed in the lite version. I had to download the 909 kick drum from the internet. It still doesn't have that hard punch that I want but I will keep messing with it. Also my high hat and snares are from an 808 so they sound like shit when I mix the two, it's like they left out the essential dance elements on purpose. I'm learning to use the arrangement screen right now which is really nice.

    • nice sounding drums is all about layering. a 909 kick for instance has the bass but not the punch, so layer with a more mid-range kick to get the sound you wantsine
    • ... mid-range kick to get the sound you want.sine
