^ Here you go.. read a little

In the 1980s, Jobs hired Guy Kawasaki who's only task was to create Mac cult. He even admits it in his book "Enchantment".

But that Wired article really speaks A LOT about how and why Apple is a cult based consumer brand.

    Also very interesting article

You can deny it, you can refuse to believe it, but Apple deliberately creates this type of brand perception through marketing and everything they do. It is very natural that members of cult will never admit they are in it. So shockingly denial is the first thing you go through.

This in fact causes a completely different mindset among consumers that actually start perceiving Apple's products as superior even though they are many times not.

This is known in business and marketing psychology as effect of perceived brand origin associations on consumer perceptions of quality. It is one of the things you study when you go to school for business/marketing.

    • lol, it's just marketing and stuff, everyone does itmonospaced
    • you act as if Apple was the only one doing this and that's just naive. their products are also good, remember?monospaced
    • none of it would be an issue if they didn't create religious like zealots out of users.monolith
