    You say:

    Then in the same graff you talk about how:

    "The biggest trouble I've had with technology and it's proper use has been video game systems."

    Aren't we talking about two different types of technology?

    Video games are entertainment, they are not generally created to "help us make our lives easier or more convenient."

    Would you argue that 50 years ago you would have wasted 3 hours playing tackle football with your friends, in a field, on a Saturday morning? Sure you get more physical exercise, but you're more likely to exercise your brain with the video games.

    So what kind of alternative activities do you think of when the guilt of a 3 hours of videos game session hits you?
