  Typically I would charge a flat-fee per icon based on Rate x Time and specify about additional cost for revisions, etc.

  However, I would agree with Continuity about a ball-park figure here. If you know what the concept/intent of the icon already is it cuts out a lot of conceptual/exporation work beforehand and allows the designer to focus on the stylistic qualities of the icons (example: home, next, previous icons, etc).

  But if they are more conceptual/abstract in nature and require more exploration and refinement, not to mention typically more revision then you might expect a cost to be higher.

  Anyway, i'm game for some icon work. Hit me up if you're interested. :D
