    My three years old PS3 just did a YLOD..

    Now i'm wondering, is there a "secret" way to get the saves that are on my old hdd ? I only have some old backups..

    Google says it's impossible because each hdd is encrypted by it's own PS3 and in is own way so the hdd in your console can only be read by that console.
    Sucks cause Sony can't even encrypt players personal data, but when is comes to the consoles hdds contents, there would be absolutely no way to get it.

    Atleast the price of the PS3 just dropped a little.
