Some of my dissertation and final project were related to the topics Ken Robinsons talk preaches about.
If this kind of thing interests you, you may want read up on someone called John Dewey (An American philosopher, psychologist and educational reformer)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joh…He has argues that education systems need to be a much more participatory / interactive process as opposed to passive lecturing. A lot of his opinions seem synonymous with Ken Robinson.
He makes mention of our evolutionary roots, and argues that the past and the way we have developed should naturally inform the way in which should teach children.
