The weather is epic right now. If I were in SM, and on holiday... I'd do this.

Rent a bike, head down to Manhattan Beach on the bike path. 10 mile ride. Hitup the Manhattan Beach Brewery to re-hydrate and then head back to the venice pier. Dinner at Hinano Bar for one of the best burgers on the west side. Cheap beer too, great pics on the wall of the pier's circa 1915.

Night, walk to Abbot Kinney like shellie said. The Other Room is a great Beer/Wine spot if you have friends to meet up with. You can get a brew on tap for $7. Lunch next door at 3 Squares and if you want to go deep... There are a few crazy places on Abbot that are great for cuisine. But guessing that's not the case cause of $$$ and the Hostel.

Next day, lunch at Library Ale house on main. Dunno if they do lunch, but dinner is a must there. Good beer once again.

    Beach it. Watch the sunset.

Then up to Malibu and prolly some Neptunes Net fun. On the way back, stop off for some hiking. There are some really great spots to soak up the view around here. Runyon Canyon in Hollywood is a great view. Maybe spend the evening walking around the streets there. Melrose and La Brea is a great start to walk/shop/drink if you head west. American Rag has a great selection of jeans/pants if you need to stock up.

Cafe Verona is right across the street. Favorite breakfast spot.

Next day, Downtown, geeez... That's a big one. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner at Bottega Louie and 7 grand across the street.

Fly home on the red eye Business class on Virgin America.

    :)

    • If you ride, it's 20 miles collective, and you'll need to rent a lock too.nthkl
