More westside stuff within walking distance to where you are:
Bay City Deli on Lincoln. (Godmother Sandwich)
Father's Office on Montana & 10th. (Burger)
The Otheroom on AbottKinney. (loungey bar)a short bus ride up to Sawtelle Blvd. which is a small Japan town with some good places to eat and stores like Giant Robot.
also a short bus ride on the west side would be The Arsenal and Liquid Kitty which are decent bars on Pico.You could also make a reservation to tour the Eames house which is walkable from where you are. http://eamesfoundation.org/
The art galleries at Bergamont Station might be cool too, though some are hit/miss.
