  this may sound of the opposite of what you want but it works..
  Vodka, since it is an alcohol will evaporate the water with its contents quicker than rice will absorbing the moisture, offcourse if you use rice and vodka together it may help out but a wash cycle that is completely submerged and agitated.. you may just have an electronic rock.. with 2 usages.. paper weight or a great thing to skip across the lake..

  then pour yourself a nice cup of vodka and eat some rice..

  done et done!!

  ..just for thought.. when you threw your clothing in the wash didnt you feel some extra weight or something else in the garments?

  perhaps what you need is a heavier gadget one that will be noticed in case you fuck yourself again..
