My god - this show just gets better and better.
The acting was phenomenal - and although not that much happened, the storyline kept me completely engrossed. I love the fact it just focused on the one evening.
The attention to detail and care that's been taken in production is astounding. I love the art direction.
I thought the scene where Peggy went to the toilet to cry really stood out; neglecting the usual carefully composed framing style, lighting and grading that gives the show such a distinctive feel, made it feel so much more raw and immediate. The heavy fade-to-black cuts are genius - so simple, but they punctuate the story stylishly, and suggest an actual absence between scenes.
I love it, can't wait for the next one.
