  Well I saw it for the first time this evening, and I am not really into period shows from earlier years, just kind of depressing to me. Overall, I was not amazed by anything, I feel sort of let down by the actual series premiere and all the hype surrounding the show. I will give it another episode to grow on me.

  Eh, not too exciting tonight, but I imagine it may be sort of a matter of laying groundwork for whatever effed up scenarios will develop later in the season. I looked up that poem he was reading, "Meditations in an Emergency." Wasn't too impressed with that either, but it's obviously significant.

  I was counting the days... so happy it's back on. I don't really get into shows but this one is amazing, I want every single piece of furniture on that set.

  yeah, it is definitely not an action packed show. i kept waiting for some kind of dramatic storyline to develop during the first season but it never did. but in a way I would say that makes it better, even though it takes a while to get into. it is more about exploring the characters and their day to day lives and the time period than trying to score an easy win with the viewers.
