one of the guys i work with tell people this when they start acting egotistical about their work. we can run it either way thru our printers- most of the color correction comes in the rip anyway, but he always gets a good laugh out of it... we all get a good laugh our of it. the next step is to ask the freelancer his or her expected gamut. if they are still pretending to know, then he asks for a favorite profile.
easiest thing to do is to ask for a swatch as is, we usually do it for free as it saves everyone money.- I'd just tell you I require a press check to sign off on color. Eliminate this techno banter.Cosmodrome
