Best thing to do is to ring a place that you'd like to work at, even if they aren't recruiting, ask if you can send your C.V. , cover letter and a mini portfolio in. Simply by ringing instantly proves to them that you're a designer that can actually talk to people, and therefore, can talk to clients confidently etc if you're hired.

Make sure your work is really varied and the best it can be. . . and most importantly, NO spelling or grammar errors in it AT ALL. Most Creative Directors I've spoken to just don't tolerate it.

Eventually you'll get an opportunity, and more often than not it because they feel can work with you rather than how incredible your work is.

PLUS, Don't worry, if you've set your heart on working for a particular agency and they don't hire you, it's probably for the best and you wouldn't wanna work for them anyway.

Christ I've rattled on a bit, but hope it helps you on your way.

    • and I've gone and made loads of grammar errors! shucks!robulation
