So, they're both hosted on MT, the 'newer' one on Grid.
My primary thought, which I think has already been stated, is that one of your tech peeps has decided to upgrade to a Grid account, using a modified address, so as to prevent too much downtime, then forgotten to redirect from the old URL.
That, or some kid is in awe of your leet skills, so has ripped you off in entiriety, to learn how you do what you do, not quite realising what a shitstorm it is that they're causing.
Or, a mis-calculated promo tactic.
