    I liked the concept so much, that I actually started browsing some of these the other day, besides the idea (and logo) comes from Argentina, where in some cities kids are so poor that they don't have shoes to wear.

    And the shoes look very much like "alpargatas" the kind of shoe ranch folks & gauchos wear, which are very popular there, but Tom's shoes have a modern twist.

    Traditional Alpargatas:
    Have sole made out of rope, more rugged look

    Tom's Shoes
    more modern, colorful designs
