This person you've spoken to is quite ignorant, quite narrow-minded, and could benefit from a change in whatever literature he's getting his statistics from.

Why do people still talk like this?
I'm guessing this person wishes that he were an artist or designer, but he's not so he takes it out on others by bashing the program he can't wrap his own mind around.
