    anyone know how I can avoid getting that HUMMMMMMMMMMM noise to stop when I crank up stereo when playing vinyl?
    Moving the speakers far away from the turn table seems to work but I can only do that temporarily. They only fit right next to my cabinet in my vinyl room.

    • Sounds like you could have a loose ground wire.DRIFTMONKEY
    • first: are the turntables grounded? usually a wire that screws to back of mixer/rcvr. also, make sure headshell/needle is on tightjonturi
    • headshell / needles are connected tightly.jonturi
    • Could also be shielding.bad
    • might have a ground loop and need a power conditioner, if it's an old amp it may not be grounded- two prong plug >camer
    • if so, then connect a wire from the grounding post on the amp - for the turntable, connect that to the screw on the outside of the outlet -camer
