In this industry sooner or later you need a mac to do your job. At some point you get project files with mac fonts or a .fla file that doesn't want to open in Windows. If you do web dev you simply need a mac for browser testing on a regular basis. Rather than getting the mac as a second computer, get a mac for a single computer running both OSX/Win. It likely will be cheaper than getting one of each.

I didn't even like OSX when I got my first macbook. It was the only good looking laptop on the market back then and it gave me the option to run OSX as the second system. OSX Tiger didn't even have a half decent image browser and they sold it as the best choice for multimedia(!)
I thought it would be a perfect laptop for the upcoming Vista. I bought the macbook, installed Vista release candidate on it... it sucked so bad I erased it s few hours later and stayed with OSX ever since.
