EKUL, I don't think anyone is really disagreeing that this runs the risk of becoming very overused very fast. But your choice of piece to reference and artist to call out is on the odd side. This is a really neat video, and Ronin is pretty top shelf.

That said, had you called out something that was very amateur and had stock flares slapped on it, then yes, we can all tear it apart and have a laugh.

But you also have to take reality and client direction into consideration. Many clients demand things that may put a strain on artistic sensibilites and budgets. You will often find yourself in situations where, dammit, you just have to slap the effect on there and call it done.

    • But, if it's not your cup of tea, and it bugs you, then that's your taste, and that's fair.harlequino
    • i think your point is that, if this was an amateur video we can laugh about it but since its mr "top shelf" we should STFU?EKUL
    • Not entirely. If I thought it was a lousy piece I'd say so. It's just that this is so well done, it strikes me as an odd target.harlequino
    • its QBN. we can talk about it. dont be scared. no one is going to end your career cuz you talked smach about the almighty roninEKUL
