it's pretty bland, wouldn't you say? i don't mind that approach, just doesn't seem to have much personality or thought behind it.
a few suggestions to consider... perhaps beef up "ken vella + design". your name pretty much gets lost on the page. also, maybe put a line break between your name and "selected projects, print work"
i think you should also add a highlighted state for the current project being viewed (and disable the button as well). lastly, i think "say hello" could stand out more. in my opinion that's the second most important thing on the page after your name.
