  Upgrading from Leopard on an intel-based MBP

  Gets in for about 30 mins, then fails. This happened twice, and both times it stole HD space (can't locate where it placed Temp/Install files though..) Error message is as follows:

  Install Failed

  Mac OS X could not be installed on your computer

  !

  The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

  Click Restart to restart your computer and try installing again.

  • I guess I'll wait until after this project is done to try and install it then...dropdown
  • Good idea. My machine doesn't even boot up now, just hangs on the grey screen w/ gear spinning endlesslydeadfinch
